Summer Hope Explored July 2024
All Saints Church Fordham & Eight Ash Green
Community Hub
Three Friday mornings, 10:00am – 11:30am
5th 12th & 19th July 2024.
There are few emotions more powerful than hope. It’s a spark inside you that brings a smile to your lips, a light that shows on your face, a feeling that lifts your head and pulls you forward. Hope is what keeps us alive.
These days hope often feels hard to come by. But real hope is what the Christian faith claims to offer: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about my present.
It sounds good…but is it true? Whatever you do or don’t believe, Hope Explored is your opportunity to explore, discuss, to question and to discover.
The course is relaxed and informal running over three Friday mornings during July. Through discussion and videos, we will explore three themes in Luke’s gospel: hope, peace and purpose. Each session begins with drinks and cake at the community hub café. You won’t be put on the spot or asked to pray or sing. Everyone is very welcome, whether you are considering Christianity for the first time or would like a refresher. The course will be led by Francis Blight, Mim Jelfs and Andy Jelfs.
