HARVEST ALL AGE THANKSGIVING SUNDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2025 10.00AM (FORDHAM CHURCH)
A Time to Say Thank You to God
Join us this Harvest Sunday 10.00am at Fordham Church to thank God for the good things he gives us in his creation. What are you thankful to God for this autumn?
Harvest Collection
During the service, we will be collecting items for the Colchester Food Bank (Trussell Trust) and our own FEAG Church Community Pantry. This is a simple way to be generous to those who will be in need across the winter months. When you arrive at church, you can either keep the items with you or put them on the table outside the church kitchen. During the first hymn you will be invited to bring them up to the Lord’s Table. Most of the donated items will be taken to the Colchester Food Bank with a small portion going to the Community Pantry.
Here are the lists of eligible items:
Colchester Food Bank – Small bags of rice, long-life milk, long-life juice, shampoo, carrier bags/reusable bags, squash, tinned fruit, deodorants, tinned potatoes, tinned puddings, tins/packets of custard, jam, peanut butter, toothbrush/toothpaste, razors, shower gel, small jars of coffee, small washing powder/liquid, small multipack snacks (penguin/club/twix) tinned tomatoes. https://colchester.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/
FEAG Church Community Pantry – Tinned food, dried pasta, washing up liquid, soap, shampoo, nappies, loo rolls and toothpaste.
Thanksgiving for the gift of a Child – Godwin and Chika Osuntoki live in Eight Ash Green and we are delighted that they have recently joining our church family. During the service we will give thanks to God with them for the birth of their daughter Eliana.
Refreshments – You are invited to stay for refreshments after the service in Fordham church.
We look forward to seeing you for a special morning together.
