JOB TITLE: ASSOCIATE PASTOR

The PCC are looking to appoint an associate pastor
to supplement and support the ministry of the incumbent
and to serve within the life and mission of our church.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a conservative evangelical Anglican church and
play a key role in growing our discipleship, evangelism, youth work and pastoral care.
We are seeking someone:
• Who will help us to develop and grow in our discipleship and evangelism.
• With theological and pastoral training (preferably at degree level)
• Who holds to a conservative evangelical Anglican theology and is supportive of our complementarian convictions
regarding the equal but different roles of men and women in family and church.
• Who has proven abilities in pastoral, Sunday and midweek teaching and leading.
• Who can lead the thriving Friday evening 421 youth group for 11-18 year olds.
• Who is able to lead one or two other areas of church life according to his spiritual gifting.
The post is one day short of full time, working five days a week instead of six. The salary is comparable (pro rata) to an ordained Church of England minister’s stipend. Accommodation is not provided so an additional housing allowance is included within the overall remuneration package. The PCC will match pension contributions made by you, up to a maximum of 5% payable into a pension scheme of your choice. The post does not include contributions into the Church of England clergy pension scheme.
The appointment is for a fixed term of three years,
subject to a six-month probationary period. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
