Jesus said: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Mark’s Gospel chapter 10 verse 45
Join us this Easter season 2025 as we focus the events at the heart of the Christian faith: the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus came to give his life as a ransom for many people, but what does that mean for you? We would love you to join us to find out.

A Good Friday Reading of Mark’s Gospel

Come and hear the drama of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection with a screening of David Suchet reading the whole of Mark’s Gospel.
Part 1: 7.00 – 8.00pm
Interval with refreshments: 8.00-8.15pm
Part 2: 8.15 – 9.30pm
Mark Gospel is short, urgent, passionate and dramatic. Often we hear the Gospels in short sections, but it can be a revelation to read, or hear, the whole of the story at once.
David Suchet is one of the best-known and best-loved actors of his generation. He has worked for the RSC, in the West End and on Broadway, and his most famous role is Hercule Poirot in the long-running television series. Raised without religion, he was converted by reading Romans 8 in a hotel Bible. A practicing Anglican, he is Vice-President of the Bible Society and his best-selling audio book of the Bible, released in 2014 by Hodder, fulfilled a 27 year ambition.
