In-Person Attendance at Sunday Services

Our church buildings are open for public worship. We look forward to meeting you at one of our regular 10.00am worship services at Fordham Church. We are blessed with a spacious church building with a high ceiling. It isn’t used for other activities during the week and has good ventilation making it a Covid safe environment prior to each Sunday service.

The church council has agreed the following policy changes from 25th July 2021:

Sung worship will begin again in the church building.

(When facing the Lord’s Table) facemasks will be obligatory in the left half of the church, the left and central sections of the balcony and in the kitchen and lavatory.

Facemasks will be optional on the right half of the church and right-hand section of the balcony.

Bibles will be available under each chair and in the balcony pews.

Tea and coffee will be served after the service, preferably in the churchyard and to people in their seats if it is raining. This will begin on Sunday 1st August.

Attendance Guidance:

  • Please do not attend a service if you have a high temperature; a new persistent cough; changes in your sense of smell or taste; if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 or displaying the symptoms; or you have been advised to isolate by a Test and Trace operator.
  • For the sake of others, the use of lateral flow tests before you attend, reasonable social distancing and good hand hygiene are all encouraged.
  • During the summer holidays there won’t be any creche or children’s groups. Children are very welcome to attend the service but must stay with their parents. The All Saints Club groups for 4 – 15 years will begin again in September.

We look forward to meeting you on Sunday. If you have further questions, you are welcome to contact the church office 01206 243261 office@fordhamchurch.org.uk

I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope”
